DUI numbers from New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve is often one of the busiest nights for law enforcement.

Locally, we checked into how many DUIs were reported for New Year’s Eve. Statewide, Idaho State Police reported 12 DUIs. That number is from 6 p.m. to 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

The Chubbuck Police Department reported zero DUIs. It also said it had no firework calls or problems, which it has had in the past for New Year’s Eve.

Both Oneida and Bear Lake Counties also reported zero DUIs for the holiday.

Law enforcement said overall, it was a pretty average weekend and nothing out of the ordinary was reported.

Other law enforcement agencies did not report any DUI numbers on Sunday.
