Slushy snow triggers parking restrictions in Idaho Falls

Snowfall on Tuesday evening and early Wednesday has triggered parking restriction again in Idaho Falls so crews can clear streets. Though much of the snow is melting, the wet slushy snow is creating messy road conditions and ruts that need to be cleared.

Zone B plowing will begin at 9:00 p.m. tonight, January 11, and will continue until complete.

The north and south streets in Zone A will be plowed from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12. The east and west streets in Zone A will be plowed from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13.

The city will issue another release when all parking restrictions have been lifted.

You can find a full diagram of the zones on the city website.
