‘Coffee with the Mayor’ kicks off at Idaho State Veterans Home

The first 2017 “Coffee with the Mayor” event was held on Friday, at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Pocatello. The mayor of Pocatello, Brian Blad, talked with the residents at the center about what is going on in local government.

The hour long events are targeted at people who might not be able to make it to city hall to ask questions or voice their concerns. While it was held at the veterans home, the general community was also welcome to join.

“Events like this, allow people to sit down and visit with us,” commented Mayor Blad.

Mayor Blad said they plan on doing more “Coffee with the Mayor” events throughout the rest of the year.
