Pocatello announces snow removal plans

Pocatello snow removal efforts will slip into high gear again. Street Operations Department officials said they would begin to pick up and haul away snow in portions of town. According to a city news release: From Wednesday (1/25/17) at 8 p.m.to Thursday (1/26/17) at 8 a.m., Thursday (1/26/17) at 8 p.m. to Friday (1/27/17) at 8 a.m., and Friday (1/27/17) at 8 p.m. to Saturday (1/28/17) at 8 a.m., the department will be picking up and hauling away snow in portions of town. Wednesday into Thursday, crews will be working from West Whitman Street to West Wyeth Street between Union Pacific Avenue to North and South Garfield Avenue. Thursday into Friday, crews will be working from East Lewis Street to East Lander Street between 1st Avenue to 8th Avenue. Friday into Saturday, crews will be working in both areas and cleaning up any spots that may have been missed. To help reach as much snow as possible, residents are asked to park their vehicles on a street that is not scheduled to be worked on during that time. A map of impacted areas can be found here.
