Jackson Hole Mountain Resort prepares to reopen after power outage
(KIFI/KIDK) — Thousands of people in Teton County got their power back on Saturday night. This comes after residents went nearly a week without power. One of the biggest places impacted by the power outage was the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
Despite the closure, Anna Cole, the communication manager at the resort said many people worked together during the outage.
“From the groomers who went down to the highway to dig out the down polls, to our operation staff who retrieved as much food as they could. Boilers turning off water so nothing froze. It was really an all hands on deck situation to make sure all the facilities were closed down properly and brought up properly with the power,” said Cole.
Now that the power is back on, the resort spent Sunday making sure everything was running smoothly. Workers checked lifts and others helped dig out snowed in restaurants.
The resort said they will reopen on Monday.
