Rexburg Chamber cancels 2017 Summerfest
Plans for the Idaho International Summerfest in Rexburg this summer have been put on hold.
The Rexburg Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the event, said it would be re-scheduled in 2018.
The Chamber said there were several contributing factors that led to the decision. Those factors include leadership changes at the Chamber, new restrictive governmental guidelines for attaining visas, and the local impact of the upcoming solar eclipse. The Summerfest Committee said it plans to refine and improve its plans for July 9-14, 2018.
