Festival of Trees writes big check
The Festival of Trees’ festivities didn’t stop at the event in November — it gave out a huge check on Thursday.
Festival of Trees gave Development Workshop, Inc. a $63,000 check. The donation will go towards helping people with disabilities: Replacing the building’s classroom flooring, enhancing public transportation, remodeling the kitchen, and creating an awareness campaign.
“It was a total surprise. Festival of Trees always holds that information pretty close. And so I’m very pleased with what Festival was able to contribute this year,” said Development Workshop, Inc. CEO Michael O’Bleness.
The money came from the proceeds from the event in November.
