Interstate 15 reopened after winter weather conditions force shutdown

Update 2:20 p.m.: The Idaho Transportation Department has reopened Interstate 15 between Dubois and Dillon, MT after winter weather conditions forced the closure of the interstate.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Idaho Transportation Department has shut down roughly 30 miles of Interstate 15 because of winter weather conditions.

ITD closed the interstate from the Hamer Road exit, or exit 150, near Dubois to the Montana state line.

ITD said parts of the interstate are snow covered and drifts have formed. Visibility is also reduced. There is no estimated time at which the road will be reopened.
