WINTER STORM WARNING – in effect for the Southern Snake River Plain and Southern Highlands until 11am Friday morning. Dangerous travel and heavy snow expected. Snow already coming down quite hard across portions of Southern Idaho and will continue throughout the day. Counties near the Utah border and also along the I-86 corridor could easily pick up 4-8+ inches of fresh snow. Lighter amounts further north. Thursday, A 100% chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 30°. New snow accumulation 3-5″ further South, 1-3″ further North. Friday, Mostly cloudy with a 60% chance of snow showers. Highs in the Snake River Plain around the upper 20’s. Saturday and Sunday, somewhat drier with only a 20% chance at new snow. Sun and clouds mixed, with highs into the lower 30’s.
