Two arrested for drug trafficking after traffic stop

Two men were arrested by Idaho Falls Police Saturday for drug trafficking after officers pulled them over on a traffic stop.

Idaho Falls Police have arrested 18‐year‐old Charles E. Eckenrode and 19‐year‐old Tristen T. Rodriguez for felony trafficking of marijuana.

Eckenrode of Idaho Falls and Rodriguez of Bergeson were both booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

According to police reports, officers stopped a vehicle, driven by Eckenrode, in the 1500 block of Northgate Mile around 8:48 p.m. Officers contacted Eckenrode and his four passengers.

During the contact, it was found Eckenrode and Rodriguez were in possession of almost 700 grams of marijuana, along with 24 cans of butane gas.

Rodriguez and another passenger, 20‐year‐old Travis D. Spencer, were also arrested for multiple warrants.
