Josh Holt continues to struggle with health problems

Joshua Holt’s health is continuing to decline.

According to Laurie Holt, Josh’s mother, he is suffering from a severe tooth infection. He was previously denied treatment for it and now the infection has spread. It is now affecting his neck and eye.

From a post on Facebook, Laurie said she worries in left untreated, the infection could spread to his brain.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Embassy was finally approved to bring a dentist in to see Josh Holt. Now the family just hopes the jail follows through and allows him to get treatment.

Thamy Holt is also dealing with a torn rotator cuff, which has also been left untreated.

No new court hearing has been set yet for the Holts.

Josh Holt is the former Pocatello man still sitting in a Venezuelan jail. Josh Holt and his wife, Thamy, are accused of being U.S. spies.
