Two Idaho Falls railroad crossings to close for maintenance work

Starting Wednesday two railroad crossings in Idaho Falls will be closed so Union Pacific and the City of Idaho Falls Street Division can repair the crossings.

The first crossing is the Broadway/Elm Street crossing. It will be closed starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday and will be closed until 4 p.m. Traffic will be detoured south to the railroad crossing at Cliff/Maple Street.

In addition, the “A” Street/Ash Street railroad crossing will undergo repairs on Thursday, March 2 and will close from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Traffic will be detoured to the crossing on Broadway/Elm Street.
