Update: Roads reopen after accident on Highway 390

Update: The Wyoming Depart of Transportation says the roads have reopened for both directions of traffic. No additional details about the multiple vehicle accident have been released at this time.

Original Story: The Teton County, Wyoming Sheriff’s Office is asking people to avoid the Windy Mile area on Highway 390, just south of Teton Village.

At 1:30 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office reported a multiple vehicle accident involving at least seven vehicles.

White-out and extremely slick conditions have made the area dangerous. Emergency responders were en route to the area. Tow trucks will be moving the vehicles involved in the accident.

Drivers should expect temporary road closures and emergency personnel on the roadway.
