Deputies tase a man after he violates a no contact order, resists arrest

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office deputies had to use a taser on a man after he resisted arrest for violating a no contact order.

27-year-old Casey J. Beams was arrested Thursday morning for misdemeanor violation of a no contact order and resisting arrest. Beams was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

According to reports, deputies responded to a disturbance on Jill Street at about 5:25 a.m. after a woman called to request paramedics before the phone was hung up. Deputies reported to the woman’s home where they found she had an active no contact order with Beams. The woman told them that he was sleeping downstairs.

The officers found Beams hiding behind a refrigerator in the basement. As deputies were attempting to arrest the man he attempted to pull away from them and during the struggle a taser was used to subdue Beams.

Beams was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for a medical clearance before being booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
