Two arrested on drug charges after drunk driving stop

Deputies with the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men Wednesday evening on drug charges after their vehicle was pulled over drunk driving.

24-year-old Sylver C. Gonzalez was arrested for misdemeanor driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, and an open container of alcohol.

21-year-old Quinton J. Clarke was a passenger in Gonzalez’s vehicle and was also arrested. Clarke is charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The pair were pulled over at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday after witnesses reported an intoxicated driver in the area of East Sunnyside Road and Dal Street. When deputies made contact with Gonzalez he had obvious signs of intoxication and field sobriety tests and a subsequent breath test showed he was driving at a Gonzalez was found at .13/.13 Breath Alcohol Content.

Deputies also located a baggie of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, and an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle.

Both men were booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
