UPDATE: Missing snowmobiler found safe

Update 6:15 pm: Franklin County Sheriff’s office says that a missing snowmobiler has been found safe.

Franklin County Sheriff David Fryar said 20-year-old Kacey Hebdon was found safe after teams from Franklin and Bear Lake Counties searched for him Monday.

Hebdon was separated from his group Sunday at Clutch Point and was quickly lost in blizzard conditions. Crews with the sheriff’s offices searched until 2 a.m. Sunday night before they halted the search until dawn Monday.

Hebdon is being treated for exposure at hospital, but was not injured.

Copenhagen Basin is a part of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. No details on the missing snowmobilers have been released at this time. Franklin County is leading the search effort.
