Christopher Tapp released after resentencing hearing

Christopher Tapp is out of prison and a free man Wednesday after a resentencing hearing at the Bonneville County Courthouse. Tapp was released directly after the resentencing and walked out of the Bonneville County Courthouse with his family.

Tapp was resentenced to 2nd degree murder Wednesday for his role in the murder of Angie Dodge. With 20 years served in prison Tapp is past the normal amount of time a 2nd degree murder charge would normally receive and as such is being released. The charge for rape against Tapp has been dropped after DNA testing cleared him of any involvement.

Local News 8 and Eyewitness News KIDK 3 are working to get reactions from Tapp, his family, and the family of Angie Dodge and we will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.

The full resentencing hearing is available starting above and continuing below.
