Juice and jelly jam I-84

Idaho State Police say a semi-truck hauling juice and jelly crashed into another commercial vehicle Wednesday, scattering its load across Interstate 84 and blocking the highway for almost 5 hours. The crash happened at approximately 3:24 p.m. at milepost 184.3, 8 miles east of Twin Falls. Benjamin Ping, 43, of Clarksburg, Maryland was westbound in a 2014 Kenworth Semi with trailer when he failed to maintain his lane and struck a commercial vehicle parked on the shoulder, according to Idaho State Police. Oswald Perez, 41, of Galt, California had parked his 2008 Kenworth Semi with trailer on the shoulder after sustaining engine trouble. Neither man was seriously injured, but Ping’s load of jelly and juice scattered across the roadway. Westbound Interstate 84 traffic was rerouted at milepost 188 until 8:03 p.m. until the debris was cleared. Investigation continues.
