Two arrested for burglary in Bonneville County

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man and a woman for burglarizing storage containers.

23-year-old Rodney Deon Maddux and 28-year-old Nikita Cruz Valdovinos were both arrested for burglary and booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

Deputies were alerted to a possible burglary in progress on North 35th West on Friday at about 7 a.m. The location had been the subject of a burglary a few days prior where storage containers had been broken into and item removed

Deputies had been watching the property and on the morning in question located a male and female adult in their vehicle on the property. The pair were identified as Maddux and Valdovinos and through investigation deputies found that the two had broken into the storage containers, replaced the locks with stolen locks from an Idaho Falls business, and were in the process of removing items.

The case is still under investigation.
