Jackson businessman named to economic development panel

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort President Jerry Blann has been named to a new 3-year-term on the Wyoming Business Council Board of Directors. Governor Matt Mead made the announcement Tuesday. Blann serves on the Jackson Hole Airport Board and the Wyoming Business Alliance. He said his appointment to the council board is the next logical step in his contribution to Wyoming’s economic development efforts. “The opportunity presented by this very, very unique business model compared to other states will allow us to be entrepreneurial and inventive in our approach to economic development,” said Blann. In addition to Blann, Mead named Jonah Bank of Wyoming Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President Kim DeVore of Casper and Sheridan-based Kennon Products co-founder and president Ronald Kensey to the council. The council serves as the economic development agency for the state of Wyoming.
