LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson hospitalized, to be released soon
After a brief hospitalization, LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson is expected to be released from the hospital soon.
According to the Deseret News, Monson was taken to the hospital Monday night after he told others he wasn’t feeling well.
“President Monson was not feeling well last evening and was admitted to the hospital,” Eric Hawkins, a spokesman for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, said Tuesday. “He has received treatment and fluids and will hopefully be released soon.”
During the 187th Annual General Conference this last weekend President Monson attended all but one session on Saturday afternoon. Other church leaders stated at the time he was home resting to conserve his energy.
