Bannock deputies investigate drive-by shooting

The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a drive-by shooting at a home on Siphon Road early Saturday. Sheriff Lorin Nielsen said a total of 9 shots were fired from a .45 caliber handgun. Four rounds struck the home, two of which were recovered inside. 5 rounds struck the victim’s car.
The victim was inside the home and asleep at the time of the shooting at around 4:50 a.m. Saturday. No one was hurt. Nielsen said there are currently no suspects in the case and a motive is unknown. The investigation is continuing.
