Semi rollover crash closes one lane on US 20 near Thornton interchange

Update: One lane of traffic on US Highway 20 near the Thornton interchange is closed while crews investigate what caused a semi hauling seed potatoes to roll and crash.

The driver of the semi was taken via ground ambulance to be treated for minor injuries.

The semi is crashed on the median side of the highway and part of its load of potatoes has spilled out into the median.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho State Police are investigating the crash.

The crash is blocking at least one lane of the westbound Highway is blocked by the crash and traffic is being rerouted at the interchange to avoid the crash.
