All students injured in school bus rollover released from hospital

KBOI 2News reports that all the student injured in a central Idaho school bus rollover crash Tuesday have been released from the hospital.

According to KBOI, the school district leaders for Blaine County School District say that the final injured student was released from the hospital Wednesday morning.

“We are relieved that our students, two coaches, and bus driver are alive and on the road to healing,” the district said. “There will be physical and emotional healing ahead for our students and staff and we will be monitoring their needs.”

Idaho State Police investigators say school bus driver Richard Mecham of Carey was driving along the highway when he drove off the right shoulder, over-corrected and rolled the bus.

Twelve students were hospitalized after the crash.
