Man arrested after trying to run from police

A Burley man is in custody after trying to run away from police Thursday night. Idaho State Police said they pulled over a vehicle driven by Aaron Bruce, 24, at approximately 7:38 p.m. at milepost 124 on Interstate 15. Officers said Bruce ran away from the vehicle. Idaho State Police, with assistance from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho Falls Police, located Bruce a short time later. He was trying to hide in a potato cellar about a mile from the site of the traffic stop. Bruce was arrested and charged with resisting and obstructing and a prior felony warrant. Bruce’s passenger, Taylor Lynch, 24, also of Burley was arrested and charged with attempting to “obstruct and delay” a police officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were being held at the Bonneville County Jail.
