Idaho Inferno Competitive Cheer makes cheerleading history in the Gem State

A local cheerleading program is climbing its way to a national competition, and one of the teams is the first youth team from the Gem State to receive an invitation. Two teams from Idaho Inferno were selected to compete at the Summit, one of the nation’s most prestigious cheerleading competitions.

Idaho Inferno’s Youth Wildfire and Senior Lady Rage teams will compete next weekend at the Summit, the season-capping goal for many competitive cheerleading teams.

The Summit will be at Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports. This year will showcase more than 1,000 teams from across the nation.

To make it to the Summit, Idaho Inferno athletes had to succeed at a bid event earlier in the competitive season. Idaho Inferno’s Youth Wildfire team is first youth team ever from Idaho to receive an invitation.

Idaho Inferno will perform May 5 to 7 at the Summit. You can watch a livestream of the event on varsity.com.
