Police arrest 3 for Walmart burglary

Rexburg Police arrested three people Thursday on charges of felony burglary. Police Captain Randy Lewis said Larry Matthew Robinson,22, and his 17-year-old wife, both of Idaho Falls, filled a couple of shopping carts inside Walmart and pushed them into the parking lot. A third person, identified as Thomas Lee Pettus,23, of Idaho Falls, was waiting in a car. The suspects ran away when authorities approached them but were apprehended by police 3 to 4 blocks away. Police said the shopping carts were loaded with approximately $800 worth of merchandise, including home security cameras, a drone, a television, food, and other items. They said additional surveillance cameras were also found in the car. The two men were being held in the Madison County Jail. The minor female was taken to the 5-County juvenile detention facility.
