Forecast for May 2nd, 2017

While we don’t have any significant source of moisture for the long term, a weak ripple of disturbance will keep us rather cool for and somewhat cloudy for Tuesday. A few scattered rain/snow showers possible into the high country. But beginning Wednesday, expect dry and sunny conditions with the warmest temps of the year thus far!! Tonight, mostly cloudy with a few rain/snow showers possible. Winds staying slightly breezy with lows dropping into the 30’s and 40’s. Tuesday, partly cloudy with an afternoon and evening shower possible. Little bit warmer as highs climb near 60°. Winds staying breezy at 10-25mph. Wednesday, mostly sunny skies with much warmer temps as highs push into the mid and upper 60’s. Winds light and variable. The rise in warmer temperatures, will help speed up high elevation snow melt. This means higher flows in area rivers and streams. A flood warning continues for the Portneuf River, and will remain in effect for quite some time.
