Man arrested for stolen property and other charges in Idaho Falls

A Bonneville county man is in jail after stealing a car Saturday night and several other charges.

According to a press release from Idaho Falls police, officers arrested Anthony Santiago for possession of a stolen car, fraudulent possession of financial transaction cards, theft by receiving stolen property, marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession.

Police got a call that Santiago drove a stolen 2011 Nissan Altima on Woodruff and John Adams around 7:25 p.m. Officers caught up with him on Hoopes and 17th Street and confirmed the stolen vehicle.

When officers stopped him they found other stolen property including the vehicle owner’s financial transaction cards. Officers also found Marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
