Two arrested on drug charges during separate traffic stops

Idaho Falls Police arrested two people this weekend for felony possession of a controlled substance in two separate incidents.

29-year-old Brian M. Singarajah of Idaho Falls was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop early Sunday morning. Singarajah was stopped near Clubhouse Circle and St. Clair Road for a traffic violation around 12:51 a.m. During the stop was found in possession of Methamphetamine.

37-year-old Jody D. Lufkin of Idaho Falls was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop Saturday night.

According to reports, officers responded to Central Park for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was spotted at First Street and Holmes Avenue around 8 p.m.

The driver, Lufkin, was found in possession of Methamphetamine, a spoon and a syringe.
