Frost Advisory issued for Snake River Plain

With the official start of the growing season this week and cold air expected Tuesday evening, the National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued the first Frost Advisory of the season. The advisory is in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m., Wednesday morning. The Advisory is for Jefferson and Madison counties southwest to Power county, in the Snake River Plain. Temperatures are expected to cool down to the lower 30’s. Areas of frost may cause damage to sensitive plants. A Frost Advisory means that widespread frost is expected. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
