Not quite record breaking temps for Friday, but plenty of hot temps around the area to close out the workweek. A front moves into the region for this weekend, kicking up gusty winds, cooler air and thunderstorms. Friday, very WARM with highs hitting the 80 degree mark. Mostly sunny during the first half of the day before turning partly cloudy late in the afternoon. Saturday, A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after Noon. Partly cloudy, with a highs near 80°. Sunday, A 40% chance of more scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs into the upper 60’s and lower 70’s. The rise in warmer temperatures, will help speed up high elevation snow melt. This means higher flows in area rivers and streams. A flood warning continues for the Portneuf River, and will remain in effect for quite some time.
