Semi loaded with bales catches fire on I-15, slows traffic
One lane of I-15 Southbound is closed while crews with the Idaho State Police and the Hamer Fire Department put out a semi truck and its load that is on fire.
The Idaho Department of Transportation and ISP have closed one lane of the road to traffic while the fire is extinguished. Traffic on the freeway is reportedly backed up for miles.
The semi was hauling bales of either straw or hay when the bales caught fire. The fire spread to the cab of the vehicle and the rest of the trailer, burning the tires.
No injuries have been reported so far.
