WEEKEND FORECAST MAY 6TH 2017

A front moves into the region for this weekend, kicking up gusty winds, slightly cooler air and thunderstorms. Saturday, partly cloudy skies with 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after Noon. Highs will still be warm with temps near 80°. Sunday, a mix of sun and clouds with a 40% chance of more scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs running a bit cooler with temps into the upper 60’s and lower 70’s. Breezy winds from the southwest at 10-20mph. Monday, A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 75°. The rise in warmer temperatures, will help speed up high elevation snow melt. This means higher flows in area rivers and streams. A flood warning continues for the Portneuf River, and will remain in effect for quite some time.
