Forecast update for May 7th and 8th

Rivers and streams are on the rise again, especially in the Central Mountains. There are flood warnings for the Portneuf River, Big Wood River in Hailey and the Bear River, impacting Bear Lake County.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. North wind around 8 mph.

Monday Afternoon: The Eastern Highlands could see rain and thunderstorms.

Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. South southeast wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Temperatures start to warm back up on Monday and Tuesday.

Wednesday and Thursday should stay fairly dry. However, there could be more thunderstorms and rain in the mountains.
