Forecast for May10th 2017

Even warmer weather sets in for Wednesday and Thursday with high pressure in command of our weather. Our ridge begins to break down Thursday, leading to a cooler temps and scattered thunderstorms, thanks to a cold front on Friday. FLOOD WARNINGS and FLOOD WATCHES remain in effect for several of our area waterways especially across Central Idaho due to the rapid snowmelt from the mountains. Continue to monitor the situation if you live near a river or stream. Also, the Henry’s Fork near Rexburg is expected to reach flood stage by Friday. Wednesday and Thursday are looking drier with few clouds. Temps on the rise as well with highs near 80°. Friday, Partly to mostly cloudy with a 20% percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Highs into the mid 70’s. Saturday, Partly cloudy with afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Highs into the lower 70’s for the Snake River Plain.
