Search and Rescue looking for missing person in Rose Pond area

Bingham County Sheriff deputies and Search and Rescue teams are looking for a Blackfoot woman.

Kelley Haney, 37, has been missing since Thursday evening. Bingham County Sheriff’s office said the last known contact was around 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the Rose Pond area.

According to a sheriff’s call log, her husband pinged her phone and showed it was in the Rose Pond area.

Deputies found her pickup at the Rose Pond. The keys and her cell phone were in the vehicle along with the windows rolled down, according to the sheriff’s call log.

Sheriff Craig Rowland said on Thursday night someone saw a woman in the water, stopped and asked if they needed help and they said no and left.

Officers have been searching the area since early this morning both in the water and on the ground. They don’t know if she is in the water or stranded somewhere on land.
