Tuesday is Election Day! Summary of issues decided by voters

Tuesday is Election Day across eastern Idaho from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The following is a summary of some of the races being decided in each county.

Bonneville County

Voters will decide on converting Eastern Idaho Technical College into a community college by creating a taxing district. A supermajority is needed to win.

Voters in the Bonneville School District 93 will also vote for school board members.

The Auditorium District voters will decide on board members.

Bingham County

Voters in the city of Blackfoot will decide on a $5-million bond to renovate and expand the Blackfoot pool. A supermajority is needed to win.

Atomic City residents will vote on whether to disincorporation.

Caribou County

Voters in the Soda Springs School District 150 will decide on a $6.5 million bond for Tigert Middle School.

Clark County

Voters in the Clark County School District will decide on a Supplemental Levy of $25,000 for 2 years.

Power County

Voters in Power County will decide on a $14.95 million bond to renovate the hospital.

To register and vote, you must:

Be a citizen of the United States Be a resident of Idaho and Power County for 30 days preceding the election Be 18 years of age or older on Election Day Be registered as required by law*

You may register at the polls on election day by providing proof of residence. All documents used in providing proof of residence shall be accompanied with photo identification. Only the following documents showing the registrant’s current address in the precinct are authorized:

A valid Idaho driver’s license issued through the Department of Transportation. A valid Idaho identification card issued through the Department of Transportation. Any document which contains a valid address in the precinct together with a picture identification card. Students may also use a current valid student identification card from a post-secondary educational institution in Idaho accompanied with a current student fee statement that contains the student’s valid address in the precinct together with a picture identification card.
