The children were last seen in Eureka County, Nevada and are believed to be in danger.
Dundon told witnesses he was taking the girls, Jaylynn and Madison Dundon, on a camping trip near Arrow Rock Reservoir in Idaho. When the group failed to return, a missing persons investigation began with the Boise Police Department. On Thursday, Dundon’s truck was found burned in Eureka County, Nevada. On Monday, the truck was positively identified. Police confirmed it belongs to Dundon. The Eureka County Sheriff’s Office identifed several different shoe prints leaving the scene of the remote area. Police said the truck was intentionally burned. Several ammunition casings were found on the scene. Witnesses said they heard a gunshot when they approached the burning truck. Dundon is known to use illicit drugs and is suspected of having firearms in his possession. Police say he recently threatened suicide. Madison Ann Dundon is 7 years and 8 months old.
