Sleepy suspect arrested at Pocatello gas station

A man who fell asleep at a gas station at 1309 N. Arthur Ave. in Pocatello was arrested by police early Friday. Levi Lee McCollum, 25, was arrested for possession of heroin and methamphetamine. He was also wanted on three outstanding warrants. Officers were called at around 2:26 a.m. Friday to check on the welfare of a man who was sleeping in the driver’s seat of a vehicle for about two hours. Police located the vehicle parked at the gas pumps. They said the man appeared to be asleep. According to reports, police identified McCollum and found him in possession of 2 grams of heroin, a small amount of methamphetamine, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
