Two injured in I-84 motorcycle crash
Two Rigby motorcyclists were hospitalized after a crash with another motorcycle at 7:31 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 84 near mile marker 173 on a Jerome County off-ramp. According to Idaho State Police, Aaron D. Keele, 43, of Idaho Falls, was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on I-84. They said he made an unsafe lane change and struck Jeffrey T. Lovell, 37, of Rigby, who was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle, who was also eastbound. Lovell and his passenger, Makisha M. Sorensen, 37, of Rigby, were ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the highway. Lovell and Sorensen were transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Both were listed in stable condition Monday morning. Keele was wearing a helmet and was not transported. Neither Lovell nor Sorensen were wearing helmets.
