Early autopsy results show Kelley Haney died by drowning

The Bingham County Sheriff’s Office has released the preliminary results of an autopsy done on Kelley Haney. The early results show she died from drowning.

At this point, a full autopsy of the body has not been completed but preliminary findings indicate she died from drowning. Sheriff Craig Rowland says at this point they will wait to release any additional information until the full autopsy is completed.

Rowland also mentioned that Haney’s body was found by a person who was walking along the river about 6 miles down river from the Rose Ponds. That person has asked not be identified.

The Bingham County Sheriff’s Office would again like to thank all the volunteers that came out and helped look for Kelley, and all the tips that came into the dispatch center.
