Forecast for May 31st 2017

A strong ridge of high pressure in place over the West keeping us mostly dry and very warm! Daytime heating will continue to spark off a few isolated storms over the mountains during the late day hours. A weak disturbance will swing through the Northern Rockies on Thursday bringing in more clouds and some scattered showers and storms. The flood warning for the Big Wood River in Hailey continues, as well as the Bear River at the border. The National Weather Service has extended the flood warning for rain and snowmelt in Custer, Blaine and Northwestern Butte County. Tonight – mostly clear with lows near 50°. Winds light and variable. Wednesday: Highs in the low to mid 80’s. Mostly Sunny, with the slight chance of a mountain shower. Thursday: Highs in the low to high 70’s with a mix of sun and clouds and scattered showers and storms. A little breezy with southwest winds from 10-20mph.
