Police looking for Aberdeen man connected to drug investigation

Police are asking for your help in locating a man connected to a drug investigation. The Aberdeen Police Department says 59-year-old Charles D. Helmick of Aberdeen knows he is wanted by law enforcement and is most likely armed.

The South East Idaho Special Tactics and Response Team (S.T.A.R.) and the Bear River Drug Task Force (B.R.D.T.F.) attempted to locate Helmick at his residence on May 25, but he wasn’t home. Police say officials did discover a considerable amount of controlled substances, money, drug paraphernalia and a firearm. Law enforcement also seized about 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine and other illegal substances from Helmick’s vehicle.

Police ask you contact local law enforcement if you know where Helmick is or any other information about the case.
