Forecast for June 1st 2017

Scattered showers and thunderstorms move in as our ridge of high pressure heads east, allowing for the cooler weather to take hold for the next couple of days. A Break in the showers is expected for Friday and Saturday, before another area of low pressure slides in for Sunday. The flood warning for the Big Wood River in Hailey continues, as well as the Bear River at the border. The National Weather Service has extended the flood warning for rain and snowmelt in Custer, Blaine and Northwestern Butte County. Thursday: Partly to mostly cloudy A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Highs near 75. South southwest wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Friday: mostly sunny and slightly cooler with highs into the upper 70’s. Saturday, sunny with highs into the upper 70’s and lower 80’s. Sunday, 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon, with highs into the mid 80’s.
