Man arrested after fight that involved a gun

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Joshua J. Woodbeck,35, at around 11 p.m. Tuesday after a fight with a woman. Deputies were called to a home on North Yates Ave. on a report of a man in possession of a gun. According to deputies Woodbeck and his wife were having an argument that ended in a physical fight. Deputies said Woodbeck pushed her to the ground several times. They said the victim managed to briefly get away from Woodbeck and tried to secure a gun the couple kept inside the home. Based on reports, Woodbeck put the woman in a chokehold. took the gun, and went outside. Woodbeck was arrested for felony domestic battery and attempted strangulation and was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
