Fugitive wanted in three states captured in Pocatello

Just after 2:30 on Tuesday morning, Pocatello police officers responded to reports of people looking for donations at Fred Meyer.

Police said one of the suspects gave an officer a false name, which raised suspicion.

The officer discovered the suspect to be James Alan Cloninger, 27, who was a wanted fugitive in Oregon, Alaska, and Bingham County for several warrants.

According to the Idaho Repository, Cloninger has a history of misdemeanors including providing false information to a police officer back in 2015.

The Oregon Repository shows he is wanted for one felony count of possession of heroin back in March.
