Multi County Response to Rigby Car Accident

Police and fire crews from Jefferson and Bonneville Counties, Idaho State Police, as well as Rigby Police Department, responded to a car accident on State Highway 48 in Rigby Friday evening.

ISP said the accident happened about 9:05 p.m. near Pioneer Cemetery on 300 North.

Idaho State Police say three vehicles were involved, which were a pickup truck, an SUV and a car. The truck was on its side and is believed to have rolled. The truck appears to be totaled.

An air ambulance was called to the crash to assist.

ISP said there were several injuries. Some victims were transported by ambulance and a couple were taken by life flight.

ISP said there was no property damage. The cause is unknown; it’s still under investigation.

As of 10:30 p.m., emergency crews were still working to clear the scene and administer medical treatment.
The block of 300 North is currently closed while crews clear the scene.
