Cool Rain at Alameda Park

One of the Pocatello Fire and Police Department’s most popular summertime events returned Thursday.

Yesterday afternoon firefighters and officers joined forces to bring what they’re calling “Cool Rain” to Alameda Park.

Firefighters brought in one of their engines and turned the hoses on, giving park-goers a chance to cool-off in the simulated rain.

Firefighters also used the event as an opportunity to talk to kids about bullying, smoke alarms and home escape plans.

If you missed it, don’t worry. This will happen again on August 20 at Raymond Park.
