Grant provides Wellness Complex lighting

Bannock County has won a $55,000 grant from the Portneuf Health Trust. The money will be used to install new lights in the parking lot of the Portneuf Wellness Complex. Infrastructure to support the lighting was installed underground when the complex was built. “Bannock County is very grateful for Portneuf Health Trust’s willingness to help complete the Wellness Complex with the addition of lights for safety and additional use. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Portneuf Health Trust on future endeavors,” said Terrel Tovey, Bannock County Commissioner. County officials originally planned to close the complex at dusk, but growing popularity increased demand for night and morning access. The lights will provide more security and safety during the summer months. They will also help on nights when events or concerts are scheduled at the Portneuf Health Trust Amphitheatre. The lights have been installed and are currently in use.
